Following its success in the first year, the design style became a recurring visual element, used in ongoing Buy One Get One Free email campaigns in subsequent years.

I led the email design for The Essence Vault’s subscriber base of 1.5 million, collaborating closely with two copywriters, an email manager, and an assistant. Within the first year of developing a cohesive visual system and brand voice, we successfully doubled revenue. This was achieved through strategic design optimisation, refined imagery, clear communication, and a deep understanding of our audience’s preferences and behaviour.

I led the development of TEV’s email designs, incorporating A/B testing and performance tracking through Klaviyo. To enhance workflow efficiency and ensure design consistency, I created reusable templates for seamless handover to other designers. Key elements—such as colour, layout, typography, and imagery—were systematically tested and refined based on click-through rates and site conversion metrics.

This social asset was created to introduce Thomson Carter’s first body wash range. The texture mimics condensation on a glass shower screen, subtly revealing the silhouette of the product behind it. Designed to spark curiosity without revealing too much, the image creates intrigue and conversation—building anticipation for what’s to come.

As part of developing The Essence Vault’s email identity, I created a bespoke product image library by transforming standard e-commerce shots into immersive visual assets. By editing the original images to appear flat-lay while retaining the natural transparency of the products, I unlocked greater flexibility in design. This allowed for creative layering with typography and visual elements, adding depth and energy to the layouts and elevating the overall branded customer experience.
